Office Renovation

OVERVIEW

The IRS office project included a 10-floor/190,000 sf office renovation in an occupied and functioning high-rise office building. The scope of work included new finishes and new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on all ten floors. Restrooms were renovated on all 10 floors to meet GSA SFO requirements. A new data center was also constructed.

Centerre phased the project permitting process with the Denver Building Department in order to expedite the construction schedule. Centerre obtained over 30 different building permits during the permitting and construction process including separate submittals by Centerre for demolition, restrooms, data center, and tenant finish for each floor. Eighty percent of the permits were walked-through the Denver Building Department. Centerre also utilized a second shift from the hours of 11:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. to accelerate the construction schedule and meet move-in deadlines for the IRS and GSA.
